St. John's Lutheran School

Our Vision: Guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit, St. John’s Lutheran School will provide academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment. By God’s grace, we will also equip families to understand the gift of baptism as they grow in love for God and in love and service to each other and to the world around them.

Our History: St John’s Lutheran School has a long and impressive history as a ministry of St John’s Lutheran Church. Dating back into the 1800s, we know that providing a Christian education was important to the members of the congregation and community. St John’s Congregation continues to provide the bulk of the resources necessary for maintaining and expanding the educational program for the children of the congregation and community.

As the years have moved into decades, additions to the program and curriculum have included: the Early Childhood Education program, Infant and Toddler program, Care offered before and after school, Computer education, departmentalization for Grade 6, 7, 8, new extra curricular activities, hot lunch program, and the Lutheran Special School Resource Room.

St John’s is served by many qualified and experienced individuals. Our teaching staff has nearly 250 years of experience in Christian schools and classrooms. Many of the assistants and care workers also have extensive experience working with children of many ages.

Why should your children attend St. John's Lutheran School?

St. John's School Improvement Plan

In 2008—2009 St. John’s went through a process to become reaccredited as a school. Part of the process of becoming reaccredited included creating a School Improvement Plan (SIP) to help our school become even better. Three goals were created along with plans on how to achieve the goals. Every year for the next five years we will be working on different parts of the goals written in the SIP. We will be asking congregational members and school families at different times to help with some of the activities. If you see anything listed that you would like to be a part of, please contact the school office.
